WSKF England is affiliated to the World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation which was established in 1990 in Japan.
The WSKF Chief Instructor is Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya (9th Dan), based in Japan.
The WSKF England Chief Instructor is Sensei Tomiko Mitsuoka (8th Dan) based in Slough in U.K.
Both Sensei Kasuya and Sensei Mitsuoka have been training in Shotokan Karate for more than 50 years, having trained together in Japan until Sensei Tomiko moved to UK in 1994.
WSKF England operates transparently, with a clear fee structure and permits accredited and licensed Senseis to carry out gradings for their own students from 9th Kyu to 1st Dan. Dojo Registration and Dan grading and all other license fee have remained at the level set on the foundation of WSKF in 1990.
In the true spirit of Karate Do, the WSKF teaching is open and inclusive. Students and Senseis are encouraged to train with Senseis from other associations and organisations. WSKF clubs and our Spring and Autumn Training Seminars with Sensei Kasuya are open to Karateka from all styles and traditions of Karate.
